Elijah: Draw near, all ye people, come to me! Elijah: Lord God of Abraham, Isaac and Israel; this day let it be known that Thou art God, And I am Thy servant! Lord God of Abraham! Oh shew to all this people that I have done these things according to Thy word! Oh hear me, Lord, and answer me! Lord God of Abraham, Isaac and Israel, Oh hear me and answer me, and shew this people that Thou art Lord God. And let their hearts again be turned!

It is Enough 04:47
24. Elijah: It is enough! O Lord, now take away my life, for I am not better than my fathers! I desire to live no longer; now let me die, for my days are but vanity! I have been very jealous for the Lord God of Hosts, For the children of Israel have broken Thy covenant, and thrown down Thine altars, And slain all Thy prophets, slain them with the sword. I have been very jealous for the Lord God of Hosts, And I, even I, only am left: and they seek my life to take it away! It is enough! It is enough. O Lord, now take away my life, for I am not better than my fathers! Now let me die, Lord, take away my life!

Dein blaues Auge hält so still, Ich blicke bis zum Grund. Du fragst mich, Was ich sehen will? Ich sehe mich gesund. Es brannte mich ein glühend Paar, Noch schmerzt, noch schmerzt das Nachgefühl: Das deine ist wie See so klar Und wie ein See so kühl. Translation: Your blue eyes keep so still, That I can gaze upon their very depths. You ask me, What do I want to see? I see my own well-being. A glowing pair burned me once; The scar still hurts, still hurts. Yet your eyes are like the sea so clear, And like the sea, so cool and detached.

Botschaft 02:05
Translation: Blow, Breeze, gently and lovingly about the cheeks of my beloved; play tenderly in her locks, do not hasten to flee far away ! If perhaps she is then to ask, how it stands with poor wretched me, tell her: "Unending was his woe, highly dubious was his condition; However, now he can hope magnificently to come to life again. For you, lovely one, are thinking of him!"

Translation: (Paul Hindemith) In the green landscape of a blossoming summer, Beside cool water, reeds, and canes, Behold, how the sinless child Plays freely on the virgin's knee. And there, in the woods, blissfully, Alas, growing already is the stem that will become the cross.

Translation (Malcom Wren) If my mother could work magic she would go off with the regiment to France. She would go everywhere with them and be a camp follower selling supplies. In camp at midnight when there is noone up except the watch and everybody is snoring, horses and men, that's when I would sit in front of my drum. The drum would turn into a bowl with warm sauerkraut in it The drumsticks, knife and fork, a long sausage - that was my sabre. My shako would be a good mug that I would fill with burgundy's blood. And because I would not have a light the moon would shine into my tent. Even if it was shining in French I would still be reminded of my love. Oh dear! Oh dear! Oh dear, dear! That's brought the fun to an end. If only my mother could work magic. If my mother could work magic.

Lasciati almen veder, mio bell’amore! Oh please, come to the window, my sweetest treasure, Oh please, come to console my plaintive crying. If you refuse to give me any pleasure, In front of your own eyes you’ll see me dying! You with the mouth that’s sweeter far than honey, You with sugar inside your very being! Don’t be so mean to me, my lovely bunny! Give me some joy, my love, if only in seeing!

Zerlina (I want to, but it’s not pure, My heart is ill at ease. I would be happy, I’m sure, But it may all be a tease.) Don Giovanni Come, sweetest love, let’s hurry! Zerlina (Masetto gives me worry.) Don Giovanni I’ll change your life forever. Zerlina Soon, dear I don’t feel clever. Don Giovanni Let’s go! Zerlina Let’s go! Together Let’s go, my love, let’s go, To heal the pain and woe Of love that’s innocent.

words by Robert Louis Stevenson (1850 - 1894) Bright is the ring of words When the right man rings them, Fair the fall of songs When the singer sings them, Still [they are]1 carolled and said - On wings they are carried - After the singer is dead And the maker buried. Low as the singer lies In the field of heather, Songs of his fashion bring The swains together. And when the west is red With the sunset embers, The lover lingers and sings And the maid remembers.

The Call 01:53
text by: George Herbert (1593-1633) Come, my Way, my Truth, my Life: Such a Way, as gives us breath: Such a Truth, as ends all strife: Such a Life, as killeth death. Come, My Light, my Feast, my Strength: Such a Light, as shows a feast: Such a Feast, as mends in length: Such a Strength, as makes his guest. Come, my Joy, my Love, my Heart: Such a Joy, as none can move: Such a Love, as none can part: Such a Heart, as joys in love.

You may bury me in the East You may bury me in the West But I’ll hear the trumpet sound in a-tat morning In-a that morning, my Lord How I long to go For to hear the trumpet sound in-a that morning In that dreadful Judgement day We’ll take wings and fly away But I’ll hear the trumpet sound in a-tat morning In-a that morning, my Lord How I long to go For to hear the trumpet sound in-a that morning Good old Christians, in that day We’ll take wings and fly away For to hear the trumpet sound in a-tat morning In-a that morning, my Lord How I long to go For to hear the trumpet sound in-a that morning
